I really enjoyed this … we’re not long back from Paris after a couple of nights up there, primarily to see the surrealists at the Pompidou (loved the fountains and the street art in that square). We are building up to 3 months of interrailing for my milestone birthday this year … we’re trying to unlearn the desire to plan and schedule and book in advance. We did better on this trip to Paris, discovering the Marais by accident and stumbling on coffee shops we hadn’t expected to find. The best bit, brunch with Substack friends - in real life, in a place they picked, local to their daily life. Seeing places thro the eyes of others … we’ll be weaving that into our trip.
